Tested Like Samsonite | Samsonite.in

Just like every star that shines through the dark, the best only emerges when they
have been tested time and again.

What you have been through, decides how far you go.

The journey of life is filled with several pitfalls. The ones that will challenge your beliefs, your strength and more than anything, your willpower to fight back. But to stand tall through these trials is what makes you a true hero, the one who doesn’t back down and keeps walking on.

The road to greatness goes through hell and back.

It’s not easy. It’s a tough fight. Especially when you hit the dirt time and again. When everything in life stops being a rosy path and turns into a way full of thorns and steep bends. But when you resolve to change the story, jump these barriers and survive these blows by never giving up, a new you arrives. A you that’s ready to take the world head-on and be a champion of indomitable spirit.

What can break you, can also make you.

The lens of the world often slots you as one of many and rarely as one in many. To let the world know your worth, you have to break through the shackles of bias. Greet the grind to carve a niche for yourself. They’ll see you in the limelight but not know about the times you have been knocked down in the dark. Because to own your game, you should only set your mind to aim bigger, no matter what your challenges are.
WE’VE MASTERED THE ART OF BEATING EVERY TEST.

The Mileage
Cycle Test

The luggage is fixed to a conveyer belt running at 4km/hr and fitted with small obstacles mimicking paving slabs or ruts and tested for 32km, or eight hours.

The
Impact
Test

This was developed specially to test Samsonite’s extra-strong, extra-light Curv material; samples are cut from Curv shells, and a dart is dropped on them to measure the force needed to break the material and the energy the material can absorb.

The
Tumble
Test

A full case is placed inside a machine that spins it around. The interior is lined with several obstacles that the case is hurled against as the drum rotates. The luggage then tumbles for 50 full.

The Jerk
and Lift
Test

In the Jerk Test, the case is hung on a spring mechanism by its handle,
and jerked 3000 times at a drop of 15cm.

The
Humidity
Test

Cases are placed in a cabinet set at 38 degrees centigrade and 98 percent humidity for 240 hours, or ten days. Cases are also exposed under a UV lamp to check for any discolouration.

The
Overload
Test

Every bag is built to withstand a minimum of 290 kgs of pressure and
goes through a layered test and is qualified only when they don’t spring open.
